Extra virgin olive oil from the Ben Ismail farm, located in the Toukaber region, in Mjez el Beb (Beja governorate), won the “Extra Gold” gold medal of the international competition for the eighth consecutive year “Biol Novello” 2024, which distinguishes the best organic olive oils in the world.
This distinction was awarded during the 30th edition of the Italian competition, in which 181 countries took part this year. Ten olive oils, harvested early (before November 15), obtained this “Extra Gold” gold medal, thus testifying to their exceptional quality.
The oil from the Ben Ismail farm, represented by the Toukaber brand, is the only Arab and African oil to win this prestigious award, an event organized by the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, in collaboration with the world’s leading oil producers olive, including Spain and Italy.
