The first bistro in the village of Sepx opened its doors last Friday. Waiting to have its own premises, it was the village hall which served as a meeting place for the twenty or so people present. Every Friday, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., subject to availability of the room, it will be possible to come and eat there, have a coffee, chat with friends, read, play.
Organized as part of the future creation of a canteen – cultural café (supported by the “la Marmite Electrique” association), this weekly initiative aims to recreate links in the surrounding villages (Sepx, Auzas, Castillon de St Martory, Proupiary) and to serve as a cultural, social and friendly hub between the inhabitants of this sector.
“The La Marmite Electrique association was created in April 2024; its aim is to open a cultural café with a catering area: a place open to everyone where you can have a drink and chat, enjoy cuisine local and seasonal by favoring short circuits”, explains Emilie Paquet, member of the association. “A space where users can have access to a grocery store with basic local products. A place with popular education workshops to share ideas, knowledge and know-how. While taking into account the needs and the desires of residents. We also want to facilitate access to different socio-cultural practices and culture for everyone.
