Charlie-Maud Gingras, originally from Ferdinand and president and CEO of the psychosocial clinic Autre de Thetford Mines, was honored by the Order of Social Workers and Marriage and Family Therapists of Quebec (OTSTCFQ) for her impact on mental health .

She received the 2024 Relève Prize.

This award is given to a person under the age of 40, a member of the Order, and whose practice deserves to be highlighted given its impact on society and on the notoriety of their profession.

Charlie-Maud Gingras already had a good background in community organization and expertise in social work before founding her clinic.

In addition to offering individual or group follow-ups at her clinic and organizing workshops and conferences, she has launched into the production of a podcast “Let’s talk differently” which addresses the issue in a concrete and authentic way. mental health.

The Order of Social Workers and Marriage and Family Therapists of Quebec brings together nearly 16,500 members with the mandate to ensure the protection of the public.

Social workers work mainly in the health and social services network (RSSS), but also in community settings, in independent practice as well as in teaching and research environments.

The majority of marriage and family therapists work in the private sector, in independent practice, but some practice in the RSSS under other job titles.
