Guest of France Inter this Wednesday, December 18, 2024, Éric Dupond-Moretti, worried, made an intimate revelation to Léa Salamé.
Like every week, this Wednesday December 18, 2024, Léa Salamé and Nicolas Demorand present their show broadcast on France Inter : The big interview. This time, it was Éric Dupond-Moretti, the former Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals who was their guest. The opportunity for him to promote his one man show entitled I said yeswhich will be available from February 1 at the Marigny theater in Paris. But Isabelle Boulay’s companion, who is a great singer, also took the opportunity to react to political news. And he didn’t hesitate to make an intimate revelation! While he was invited to react to Emmanuel Macron’s policies and the rise of the extremes, Éric Dupond-Morreti declared: “We are going to broaden the spectrum a little. Is it going better in other countries? In the United States, Mr. Demorand, Argentina, Brazil with Bolsonaro, Germany with the rise of extremes, Austria, Hungary… Do you want me to name others?
Before specifying: “It’s a global phenomenon of distrust and concern. We went through an extremely difficult, deadly period, Covid… People did not come out of it unscathed.” Subsequently, the former Minister of Justice recalled: “On budgetary deficits, there was protection of the French at the time of Covid. Free vaccines, free tests, protection of businesses, protection of the long-term unemployed.” Then, worried, he quoted Marine Le Pen: “She suggested ivermectin [un antiparasitaire, NDLR]. I would be dead today. I say it, all the comorbidity factors, if I had been treated with Madame Le Pen’s ivermectin, I would have died. A response which did not convince Léa Salamé, who was recently tackled by Lionel Jospin.

Eric Dupond-Morreti: “Madame Salamé, be nuanced”
Always on France InterÉric Dupond-Morreti then tried to explain the reasons for the rise of extremes in France while Emmanuel Macron had announced that he wanted to fight against it a few years ago. “The far right has a dedicated channel and a whole bunch of media dedicated to their service. Moreover, Madame Le Pen speaks of CNews by saying ‘my channel’, the father of two revealed. To which Raphaël Glucksmann’s partner responded: “So it’s because of the Bolloré empire if the far right is strong?” Before the former Minister of Justice concludes by contradicting the journalist: “Ms. Salamé, be nuanced. This is one of the factors, it is not the only one. When I tell you that there is a surge in populism everywhere, that responds to people’s concerns, yes of course.
