From 2025, Montpellier and its surrounding areas will benefit from the Communal Mutual Fund, complementary health insurance accessible to all residents. This inclusive system is aimed at young people, families, retirees and the unemployed, everyone can find a formula adapted to their budget.
Prices, designed for all ages, start at 25 euros per month for those under 25, 109 euros for a 40-year-old single mother with three children, or 234 euros for an 80-year-old couple wanting maximum coverage. With four levels of guarantee and the “zero out-of-pocket” system for optical, dental and hearing care, this mutual wants to offer complete coverage at no additional cost for essential care.
Locked rates and immediate coverage
To guarantee stability for residents, the Mutual is blocking its prices until December 31, 2026. In addition, it offers immediate coverage upon membership, with no waiting period, allowing members to benefit from this protection upon registration. Personalized support is available to guide future members in choosing their formula. The municipality also plans an agency in the Antigone district and advisors by telephone and online.
Offices have been organized since October 18 in various neighborhoods, allowing residents to find out directly about the offers, ask their questions and begin their membership procedures with a view to January 2025. Accessible to all, it could become a reference for the inhabitants of Montpellier, Le Crès, Clapiers, Saint-Geniès-des-Mourgues, Sussargues and Murviel-lès-Montpellier, and thus contribute to the accessibility of essential care for residents.
