Craft market, Christmas farm, artistic strolls, carriage parade, concerts, fireworks… For its first edition, the Carnac Christmas market is thinking big. Indeed, the Carnac Traders’ Union and the town are joining forces to offer “to everyone, two days of magic between town and beach”, as Sophie Paquier, the president of the association, explains.
Activities from the town to the beaches
Saturday December 21, the Christmas craft market will be held in Carnac bourg, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. From 2 p.m. until 7 p.m., Place de la Chapelle will be transformed into a Christmas farm. From 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Santa Claus, coming directly from Lapland by little train, will stroll through the streets of the city center. Young and old will be able to have their makeup done, from 2:30 p.m., before having their photo taken with Santa Claus, from 4:30 p.m. For the occasion, the Friends on the Edge will sing in front of the church at 3:30 p.m. in addition, an artistic stroll will take place from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. To conclude, the day will feature fireworks from the Saint-Michel tumulus at 6 p.m.
Sunday, December 22, the Christmas craft market will take place in Carnac bourg, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The farm will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Christmas Tree group will sing Christmas carols from 2 p.m. on the church square and from 4 p.m., Breton music bell ringers will take over the music. From 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Santa Claus will pick up guests in his carriage. At Carnac beach, from 4 p.m., the Christmas Tree group will sing as the Fontaine passes then, at 5 p.m., the Breton bell ringers will replace them. Santa’s carriage will take you to a magical world, from the beach tourist office, from 6 p.m.
