It is a room which was imagined by Jacques Charbonnier, the former mayor of Vulaines-sur-Seine (Seine-et-Marne). Nearly 10 years after the creation of the Maurice-Ravel theater of Vulaines-sur-Seine, the room has just offered itself a makeovernow allowing it to accommodate up to 105 spectators.

A “facelift” for the Maurice-Ravel theater in Vulaines-sur-Seine

“The municipal theater was completely rehabilitated thanks to the resourcefulness, recovery and involvement of volunteers, which made it possible to renovate it at lower cost,” confides Patrick Chadaillatthe mayor of Vulaines-sur-Seine. It was no longer up to standard and it really needed to be given a facelift to transform it into a real performance hall. »

In addition to the room to accommodate the public, the control room has been fully equipped with a mixing desk and lighting equipment, thanks in particular to donations. It was the Briardises festival which unofficially inaugurated the new installations, with several pieces offered in the town, before the charity events set up as part ofPink October.

“A new place to develop culture”

“It’s a new place dedicated to culture in the town,” continues the councilor. We can imagine the organization of conferences, shows, concerts and offering this new cultural setting for rental. » And added: “As a pianist, I think it is essential to bring culture back into our society and it is also a way to escape the ambient gloom. »

And residents who have not yet had the opportunity to discover the new Maurice-Ravel theater room will soon be able to catch up. Wednesday December 18, from 7 p.m., the public will be able to combine business with pleasure by listening to the auditions of students from the Vulaines-sur-Seine music school and discovering the new configuration of the premises.
