This makes a little more than 10 years since the deadly Valentine’s Day took place by Oscar Pistorius and Reeva Steenkamp. Found guilty of the murder of his girlfriend by the Supreme Court of Appeal, the disabled athlete was then to serve a sentence of thirteen years and five months in prison.
In January 2024, however, after serving more than half of his sentence, Oscar Pistorius was released on parole in Pretoria. To top it all off, he even started his life again with another woman… who looks exactly like his ex.
Oscar Pistorius would be in a relationship with this lookalike of his ex
Indeed, several South African media now attribute an affair with Rita Greyling. The 33-year-old young woman is blonde with light eyes. She is said to be a business management consultant from Wakkerstroom (South Africa).
A new blow for the family of Reeva Steenkamp, who never stopped fighting to bring justice to their daughter. In January 2024, his mother, June, had already lambasted: “We, who are still here, are condemned for life”. Meanwhile, Oscar Pistorius regained his freedom.
Now, it is the sister of the deceased Reeva Steenkamp who speaks. The Telegraph reports his comments concerning the athlete’s new companion. Simone Cowburn confides: “I just look at the pictures of this woman and I have the chills and shivers down my spine right now.”
And added: “She looks so much like my Reeva. She has the same build, the same face and the same hair, even the same eyes. Is he so sick that he wanted to find a lookalike?”
Still terrified by what happened to her sister, Simone Cowburn insists. She warns: “I have nothing against her, but I advise him to sleep with one eye open.”
Indeed, according to her, Oscar Pistorius “has it in him to do again what he did to Reeva“. She thus affirms “I don’t want this to happen again. I’m so shocked that he chose a woman who looks so much like my Reeva. I can’t help but think that after he got rid of one Reeva, he went looking for another.”
Reeva Steenkamp’s family terrified
Reeva Steenkamp’s mother was amazed: “I don’t understand how she doesn’t see any red flags about him when he hasn’t lost his anger problem.”.
June Steenkamp added: “He was supposed to be on anger control when he was in prison and at one point I stopped him from going out because I was annoyed that he wasn’t getting treatment.”.
Finally, she assured, in turn: “It’s not painful for me that he’s with this young woman, I’m just worried about her.”
