DJI is making a comeback with the Osmo Action 3, its third action camera. This camera, returned to a more traditional design, wants to overshadow GoPro and its Hero11 Black thanks to some interesting proposals.

The DJI Osmo Action 3 reconciles itself with a more conventional format, while retaining the good ideas of the first versions. It scores points thanks to a practical and ingenious fixing system and its front touch screen, in addition to its general compactness. Well equipped, it is not yet armed enough to face GoPro on its territory, remaining a little behind in terms of image quality and stabilization.

If it is not the few new features present, a definition limited to 10 Mpx in photo and the impossibility of shooting beyond the 4K format, the Osmo Action 4 nevertheless offers excellent image quality, both in photo and ‘on video. If you don’t yet have a small sports camera, this is probably an opportunity to invest in a model with an attractive price and very comprehensive features. If you have the Osmo Action 3, move on and wait for the next version. Despite great potential and full of advantages, this action camera must still progress in terms of image definition to disrupt its competitor GoPro.
