In search of points, the HBC Nantes reserve team hosted Union Sud Mayenne.
The first break was in favor of the Nantais who forced the opposing coach to already take a first time-out (10′ 8-5). Things rebalanced afterwards (13′ 8-8) and it was the visitors who took advantage of a temporary purple exclusion to take the lead (20′ 11-13). Eloi Gnanhouan scored a series of goals and Sirius Rambaud made the saves (25′ 17-15). At the break, the “H” led by 2 goals: 19-17.
In the second period, the debates continued to be balanced (34′ 21-20). The goalkeepers responded to each other (40′ 23-23) and the two teams battled to stay in front (44′ 26-28), each in turn (50′ 30-28). It was therefore in the money-time that this meeting was going to be decided (55′ 31-30) and it was ultimately the Nantes team who managed the last moments best (58′ 33-30) to win 33-32 .
