Yesterday evening the CAF Awards ceremony took place rewarding the best African footballers, clubs and teams of the year 2024. For the greatest distinction, the African Ballon d’Or is the Nigerian striker from Atalanta Bergamo, Ademola Lookman, who won the title ahead of Serhou Guirassy and Achraf Hakimi. Another distinction caused a stir last night after the announcement of the winner: the trophy for the best young African of the year. It is the Senegalese midfielder from AS Monaco Lamine Camara who wins the bet for the second time in a row ahead of the two Ivorians Oumar Diakité and Karim Konaté. A nomination which did not leave the latter indifferent.

The Salzburg striker did not appreciate not receiving this award and seeing his teammate also be beaten and expressed himself in a story on his Instagram account.
