UPDATE: Woman victim of murder in Quebec

Since yesterday morning, Quebec police have been investigating the death of a woman in a home in a building on Boulevard Louis-XIV and Rue Astrid, in the Charlesbourg sector. She then indicated that she was investigating a suspicious death. This afternoon, the SPVQ indicated that it was now investigating a murder case.

The victim is Jennifer Morin, 45 years old.

The scene is under police protection.
Since this morning, a large number of investigators have been mobilized on site and in the sector, precisely to advance the investigation. Citizens are also met, specialized crime scene technicians and dog handlers are also on the scene.

According to the Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) yesterday, around 9:12 a.m., SPVQ police officers were called to go to the housing on Boulevard Louis-XIV to assist the ambulance crew. A 45-year-old lady died there. The police noted the death and the coroner requested an inquest.

The SPVQ asks anyone who has information regarding this suspicious death to come and meet investigators.
