This Tuesday, December 17, Christian Clavier spoke to “Téléstar” on the occasion of the release of his film “Jamais sans mon psy”, alongside Baptiste Lecaplain. Asked about the sudden disappearance of Michel Blanc last October, the actor of “What did we do to the good Lord?” did not mince his words when talking about the media pressure he suffered.
“I lost a member of my family, my real family”
“BFMTV sent me twenty-eight text messages three minutes after the announcement of his death. And contacted me again and again. I doubt that it is really their duty to interfere in people’s lives like this” he said on the news channel.
If Christian Clavier took more time than his former comrades from Splendid to express himself, he explains in the same interview the reasons for this silence: “I was devastated. I lost a member of my family, my real family, the one I chose.” He also talks about the unwavering bonds that unite the famous troupe, despite the years: “We lived together for ten years, stuck to each other. And if we separated, we never left each other.“

When the disappearance of Michel Blanc, unforgettable interpreter of Jean-Claude Dusse in the film series “Les Bronzés”, was announced, the media continued to relay the news. The general channels had also shaken up their programs to pay tribute to the actor. Christian Clavier, for his part, had waited more than a month before speaking publicly. Guest of Anne-Claire Coudray in the 8 p.m. news on TF1 on December 6, he shared his grief and recalled the singularity of the links that united the Splendid troupe: “There is something between us that is truly family. A family that we chose at 13.”
