Filmed during an altercation with a young person who refuses to pay his bus ticket, a driver from Toulouse is summoned by his management. He received support from the city’s mayor and his peers.
A bus driver from the Tisséo network in Toulouse is summoned by his management after an altercation. Management is demanding explanations after a video was broadcast on social networks where we see the driver asking a young minor to get off his bus.
On the video, which is a week old, we see the driver having an altercation with two minors, obviously known for getting on the bus without paying. The driver tells them to get out of the vehicle: “You get out quickly,” he says to one of them. He refuses and insults him before the driver grabs him by the collar and pushes him towards one of the bus doors, without success. “Screw your mother, by Allah, come on… your mother the whore,” replied the young minor, before other similar insults were delivered for several minutes.

Since then, the driver has been summoned by his management. Supported by the mayor of the pink city Jean-Luc Moudenc, by his Sud union and by his peers, he says he “regrets” La Dépêche du Midi. The one who has worked for Tisseo for 25 years assures “that he has never experienced such an altercation”. “I was having a complicated week, I heard insults about my late mother, I couldn’t manage,” he explains, even though he has just lost his mother.
“An example”
The driver says he knows the gang of two young people filmed well, who rarely get on his bus because he prevents them from entering. Working in these conditions is increasingly difficult, he adds.
“He’s a veteran of the company, he’s always been an example,” assures Malik, a bus driver at Tisseo and who also knows the young person involved, this Wednesday on RMC et RMC Story. “He tests, he provokes, he is known to the security services,” he explains. “Our customers in general are very polite. The network is developing but the rest is not keeping up, especially in terms of security,” adds Malik in The Big Mouths.
