Four Guyanese, aged 21 to 42, were indicted on Friday in Versailles (Yvelines) for trafficking and importing narcotics. The quartet was placed in pre-trial detention. These men are suspected of having implemented a profitable airport importation system for cocaine from Cayenne.
According to the elements collected during the investigations, this Ile-de-France community network supplied the south of Yvelines. A profitable business, because a kilo of “zip” costs 5,000 euros in Guyana while in the Paris region, depending on whether it is sold by the kilo or by the gram, its price fluctuates between 25,000 and 65,000 euros.
It was on May 25, 2022 that investigators from Ofast de Versailles, the anti-narcotics office, opened investigations concerning a thirty-year-old who lives in the Garennes district, in Guyancourt. As part of another case, the police carried out a search of his home. They had got their hands on a small quantity of cannabis and some very valuable items. Since this man, originally from Cayenne, is already known for drug-related cases, the police decide to look into the subject.
A supply which passed through the 93
They carry out physical and technical surveillance and monitor the movements of their suspect. Officials note that this thirty-year-old regularly goes to a building in Neuilly-Plaisance (Seine-Saint-Denis) to eat “zipette”. Half a dozen resupply operations in the 93 thus materialized over several weeks.
The thug sells “CC” to his local customers. And as a good entrepreneur, he also diversified his offer by purchasing cannabis near Bezons (Val-d'Oise) to supply consumers. The suspect also travels to collect money from other traffickers in Yvelines.

Eight people arrested, half released

On November 18, eight people were arrested in Yvelines – in Guyancourt and Montigny-le-Bretonneux – and in Seine-Saint-Denis – in Neuilly-Plaisance and Villepinte – with the assistance of dog brigades and local officials from the inner suburbs.
The searches resulted in 3,285 euros being found but no narcotic product was found. Half of the suspects were exonerated and then released. The four main thugs, all known for their involvement in drugs, remained silent during the hearings.
