“It’s crazy what’s happening to him, even the dealers are laughing…” breathes Khadra Yahia-Benatthia, president of the Support Committee for the Director of the Brossolette school. An establishment located in Valence, a town in Drôme with 60,000 inhabitants. Since this summer, the man who has worked for 30 years in the popular Plan district has been suspended by the rectorate, and is being pursued by the courts for “complicity in drug trafficking”. 

“No one understands why we attack such a man, with his commitment to the neighborhood », says the community activist.

And in a neighborhood like this, “the school is almost the only public service, one of the last links with the Republic”, Khadra Yahia-Benatthia plague. A petition, signed by just over a thousand people, was posted online to demand his reinstatement.
