This happens regularly, the last time at the end of October, and this time this Sunday, November 24 from the start of service until 4 p.m. This service interruption is linked to the need to “carry out work and tests to increase capacity and passenger comfort”, according to the TCL network.
For users, several solutions exist, more or less restrictive depending on the stations on this line which connects Charpennes to Saint-Genis-Laval Hôpital Lyon Sud.
Relay buses and a puzzle
TCL indicates that it will provide relay buses which will serve the stations from Gare Part-Dieu Vivier Merle to Saint-Genis-Laval Hôpital Lyon Sud, with a frequency of 10 minutes.
Two exceptions however: Stade de Gerland Le Lou and Gare d'Oullins will not be served. For the Lyon 7th station, you will have to get off at Debourg, just before, and walk for around ten minutes. For Oullins-Pierre-Bénite, the bus will stop in both directions on the Grande rue of the commune: at the Orsel stop at 72 Grande Rue (in the direction of Gare Part-Dieu Vivier Merle) and at 92 Grande Rue ( in the direction of Saint-Genis-Laval Hôpital Lyon Sud), or in Pont d'Oullins at 63 Grande Rue (in the direction of Gare Part-Dieu Vivier Merle) and at 44 Grande Rue (in the direction of Saint-Genis-Laval Hôpital Lyon South).
Finally, to travel between Gare Part-Dieu Vivier Merle and Charpennes, take the T1 tramway, bus lines C2 or 70.
