Aurélien Tchouaméni was injured during Real Madrid's defeat against AC Milan on Tuesday in the Champions League (1-3). The 24-year-old midfielder, victim of a sprained left ankle, will not participate in the French team's next matches against Israel and Italy in the Nations League.
Didier Deschamps will have to do without one of his captains during the next meeting of the Blues. Aurélien Tchouaméni, captain of the France team in October, was injured during Real Madrid's defeat against AC Milan on Tuesday in the Champions League (1-3). After picking up a knock, the 24-year-old midfielder was replaced at half-time by Carlo Ancelotti. He left the stadium limping and suffered from a “sprained left ankle”, according to a press release from the Merengue club. The Spanish media are talking about a possible absence of one month.
Tchouaméni is therefore out of the French team's next matches against Israel (November 14 at the Stade de France) and Italy (November 17 in Milan) in the Nations League. He will not be part of the list which will be revealed this Thursday by Didier Deschamps for these two meetings.

A difficult evening against the Milanese
Before his injury, Tchouaméni had a difficult evening at the Bernabeu, being at fault for the Milanese's first two goals. After marking on a corner that was too passive in front of Malick Thiaw (12th), the former Monegasque lost a ball full axis, which ultimately benefited Alavaro Morata (39th).
Under contract until 2028, Aurélien Tchouaméni played 15 matches this season with Casa Blanca, including 14 as a starter (all competitions combined). He only missed one La Liga match, on September 14 at Real Sociedad (0-2), due to a foot injury.
