For the thirteenth year, Bio en Normandie (organic farmers’ association) is organizing the “Eat organic and local” operation. From September 21 to October 5, 2024, nine producers will open their doors. In total, 22 events are planned in the five Normandy departments, including nine in Calvados.
Farm sales, visits, producers’ markets, gourmet getaways, there will be many activities that will allow you to meet the producers.
The association has an advisory and communication role. We also provide support in direct sales and marketing

“Organic doesn’t come from far away”
Organic in Normandy brings together all sectors with a dominance of dairy production. We ensure compliance with the Egalim law which requires offering an organic menu per week.
In Normandy, 70 collective kitchens work with the organic sector; 250 sites are thus supplied.
Concerning individuals, after the boom of the Covid period, the sector experienced a decline. It is stabilizing. Contrary to popular belief, organic does not come from far away. On the contrary, meat, vegetables and dairy products are often produced on its doorstep.
