The Swiss national U20 ice hockey team set off for Sweden today (August 22, 2023) to get on track for the Worlds at the Five Nations tournament in Nyköping. They will face the Czech Republic, Sweden, Slovakia and Finland.
When composing the team, the head coach Marcel Jenny tried to create an ideal balance between different types of players. “During this tournament, we want to unite the team and focus on the game”, he explains. For Jenni, focused team development is key ahead of the upcoming U20 World Championship. “At the first gathering, we formed the team. It is now a question of taking the next step and progressing at all levels.”
