The new electric Vélo'v arrives in the metropolis of Lyon from January 29. Simplified use, battery recharged in station: here are the new features.
Long-term subscribers to the classic offer will be able to use the electric Vélo'v at a price of 1 euro for the first 30 minutes.
Those under the Vélo'v Plus offer, launched that same day, will benefit from unlimited use of the electric bike, up to 6 journeys per day. Occasional users will also be able to benefit from it, with a supplement of 1 euro for the first 30 minutes.
Subscribers to the e-Vélo'v battery will have to return their equipment by March 28, 2025 to switch to the new Vélo'v Plus offer.
The deployment of the new electric bikes will take place during the night of January 28 to 29. This change will be carried out on the 428 stations in the metropolis by JCDecaux, the service manager.
The new Vélo'v will be easier to use, with an on-board battery recharged at the station.
An improved power system will ensure sufficient charging at all stations.
The range of the bikes will be increased, allowing journeys of up to 40 km, and the charge level will be visible on the application, the terminal screen and the handlebars during the journey.
