No one believed in it anymore, yet Mohamed Djeha, also known as Mimo, was arrested by the Algerian authorities, near Oran, confirmed Gerald Darmanin. After several years fleeing the French authorities, he had become one of the priority targets of the Marseille judicial police, but also of the Anti-Narcotics Office (OFAST). This 41-year-old Franco-Algerian was known to be one of the most powerful drug traffickers in Marseille, reputed to be at the head of a network in the city of La Castellane.
This network leader was sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2019 for money laundering and 30 years last May, by the Assize Court of Aix-en-Provence, for his role as sponsor of a settling of accounts. According to the JDD, he was placed “under the hands of justice”. “There is little chance that he will be extradited. The objective is for him to serve the sentences for which he was convicted in Algeria…”, confides a source close to the file to the Journal du Dimanche.
