More than 4,000 families from the various douars in the province of Ifrane have benefited from a food and coverage distribution operation, launched to cope with the effects of the cold wave.

This operation is part of the proactive measures taken by the local authorities and the various decentralized services in accordance with the royal instructions and the directives of the Ministry of the Interior to deal with the difficult climatic conditions in the mountainous and landlocked areas of the province of Ifrane.

According to Fatima Mounib, head of the Division of Economic Affairs and Coordination of the province of Ifrane, in order to face the cold wave, several measures have been taken, including the activation of the provincial plan to fight against the wave of cold and the mobilization of the provincial monitoring and monitoring committee which held during this week an extended meeting.

This meeting, she indicated, decided to identify the areas affected by the cold wave, i.e. 4,629 families, the mobilization of medical teams, the supply of the necessary drugs and the organization of medical caravans for the benefit of the Population of mountainous areas, as well as support for pregnant women and snow removal of roads.

It is also the provision of heating means in educational establishments, the supply of firewood to the population and covers to dormitories and households, monitoring the supply of all shopping centers in foodstuffs , support for homeless people and the distribution of barley for the benefit of breeders.
