Casablanca: the redevelopment of the “Azbane Route” are coming to an end

The redevelopment work on Boulevard Abdellah Baha, also known as “Route Azbane”, mark a major step in improving traffic in southern Casablanca. 3.5 kilometers long, this artery benefited from major work intended to streamline traffic in a strategic area, bordered by densely populated neighborhoods and with several industrial structures.

«This boulevard is a real spine of the arrondissement. He brews very dense traffic and desserts large districts, of which he ensures connectivity“Explains Tahar Yousfi, president of the Hay Hassani district.

Today completed at 90%, the transformation of the “Azbane road” extends between Route 1777 and boulevard Abdellah Brahimi (Route d’El Jadida), while connecting the South ring road and important axes like the road to Bouskoura. “”Thanks to this redevelopment, not only do we decongest the area, but we also open new strategic access to motorists», Underlines our interlocutor.

In addition to its immediate role in decongestion of traffic, the redevelopment of the Abdellah Baha boulevard is part of a broader vision of urban transformation. “”This path will play a key role with the arrival of new infrastructures, including tram and RER stations and rail stations in Hay Nassim“, Continues Tahar Yousfi, adding”that with these new infrastructures, new conditions conducive to investment and economic attractiveness have been created in this part of the city».
