It happened on the night of Thursday to Friday at the Saramaca village in Kourou, a man in his thirties was shot. This homicide caused some troubles that ended around 3 a.m.
There had not been a notable incident in this Kourou district since the beginning of 2025, this lull was broken in the night of January 23 to 24. A 33 -year -old man of French nationality died after being the target of fire. The victim was unfavorably known to the gendarmerie services for acts of theft and violence.
The gendarmes deployed in number in the Saramaca village where the atmosphere was tense underlined the commander of the Kourou Brigade territorially competent.
