On Monday January 20, 2025, in the evening, an Audi A6 station wagon attracted the attention of the gendarmes in the city center of Bouaye. The vehicle was swerving dangerously, slaloming between other cars in an attempt to escape the police. In his escape, the driver took the opposite lane and collided head-on with a Berlingo type vehicle. Following this accident, the driver and a passenger fled on foot.
Police custody for aggravated intentional injury
The driver of the Audi, a 23-year-old man, was finally arrested. As reported by Ouest-France, placed in police custody, he is being prosecuted for intentional injury aggravated by several circumstances: excessive speed, failure to respect a continuous line and rodeo practice. The gendarmes also held against him a refusal to comply.
A hearing set for next July
Presented in court this Friday, January 24, the defendant was referred for a summons by report. He was placed under judicial supervision pending his hearing, scheduled for July 16, 2025. The young man disputes the facts with which he is accused.

The victim of the head-on collision, who was driving the Berlingo, was slightly injured. She benefited from temporary incapacity for work for a few days, prescribed by her doctor.
