It is an axis which is often closed because of the landslides. On Thursday, January 23, 2025, the RD119, which links Cluses and Nancy-sur-Cluses again underwent a fall in stones.
A month after the previous fall
The landslides are recurrent on this path. The Dauphiné Libéré recalls that the last one took place a month ago, and that the axis had been closed until January 10, forcing residents to use the annexed roads in particular by the DR 4.
The Department of Haute-Savoie undertakes work To prevent these landslides, which are increasingly frequent. A first phase has already taken place in 2024, and a second was expected in 2025.
-“The first consists in slaughtering trees threatening the road network, clearing and purge of existing works and the restoration of the latter. The second tranche is scheduled in 2025 and will include the replacement of aging works with new protections to current standards, ”explains the department.
