-The Yverdon trustee Pierre Dessemontet will resign from the Grand Council, reveals our colleagues from La Région. The socialist born in 1969 will leave his position as deputy on February 15. He will explain the reasons for his decision which appear in the letter he gave to the office of the Vaudois Parliament during the session of February 11. “I still have three sessions left and I intend to concentrate on the work they require,” he emphasizes.
Joining the Grand Council in 2017, at the start of the previous legislature, Pierre Dessemontet was re-elected in 2022. He has been a member of the Finance Commission since spring 2020 and chaired the commission for the new Vaud intercommunal equalization from the end of 2023 to mid -2024.
Her seat will go to Grandsonnoise Virginie Pilault. The old district will thus take back the seat “lost” in the capital of Northern Vaud with the recent resignation of the socialist trustee of Sainte-Croix Cédric Roten who had been recovered by the Yverdon municipal councilor Stéphane Balet.
