A possible new major investment for the port of Antwerp

The project, Biohy, would have a refining capacity of 300.00 tonnes of organic waste, such as used frying oil or vegetable or animal fats, to transform them into fuel for plane, but also into biodiesel or renewable raw materials for the chemical industry.

If the amount of investment envisaged is not yet known, it should quantify several hundred million euros.
