Published in November 2021, the Matras law wrote the framework of interventions related to functional emergencies with the need to act by recognizing firefighters the status of emergency caregivers. “The law writes the framework and allows firefighters to carry out gestures which were prohibited from them such as adrenaline injection for severe allergic reactions. Soon the paramedics will be trained too “explains Hubert Poullot, president of the SDIS of Côte-d'Or. To complete the provisions of the law, the departmental SDIS, the Dijon University Hospital and local urgent health transport renew their agreement. “It defines everyone's organization to meet the emergency demand. There are the commitments and responsibility of each other. »» Uncommon in France, this approach aims to strengthen collaboration between emergency services in detail. “This is real collaboration even if we are each in our missions, there are points of agreement for the same public service mission, on a daily basis. This reflects confidence between the actors ”underlines Freddy Serveaux, director general of the CHU. This good understanding notably takes the form of an interface to permanently share the means and availability of each.
Complementarity
With each emergency call, in connection with the operator, the emergency services are organized to intervene in the field in a logic of territorial mesh for a service strictly identical to the entire population.
-As such, the Convention highlights the involvement of urgent health transport. “Their mobilization, which results in 24 -hour guards, relieves the SDIS for missions that fall under health transport”explained the signatories while Bruno Derossi, representative of the profession concerned, is delighted with this recognition. “It is a constructive agreement which for five years has helps us to improve and professionalize ourselves. »» During the past year, health transport carried out 32,000 interventions, the SDIS on account for its part of its credit, including 75 % for personal aid. Finally, the SAMU and the SMUR led 5,000 interventions or transfers.
