Ireland and part of the United Kingdom were placed in “red alert” this Thursday, as a “meteorological bomb” arriving from the Atlantic Ocean: the Eowyn storm. The authorities have warned that it will be a “dangerous, destructive meteorological event, which will cause damage”.

On the other side of the English Channel, should however only undergo minor effects of this storm, according to current forecasts.

This Thursday, the Eowyn storm “brings a very disturbed time to the northwest of France”, where seven departments are on yellow for wind, writes Météo France. The disturbance will “enter the Breton tip before the end of the night from Thursday to Friday, then will linger on the northwest of the country until Saturday morning,” it is specified.

Friday, the arrival day of the storm on the British islands, 22 departments of France were placed in a vigilance yellow rain-rude and/or wind. “The winds can sometimes exceed 80 to 90 km/h in the Breton coast, Normand, and to Pas-de- between the end of the night and the early afternoon of Friday,” writes Météo France.
