As part of its strategy aimed at reducing the teaching staff deficit, the Government of Senegal announced an exceptional recruitment of 2,000 teachers for the 2024/2025 school year. This initiative is part of a continuous effort to strengthen the national education system.
Eligibility conditions and candidacy terms
To be eligible for the special recruitment of teachers for the 2024/2025 school year, candidates must fulfill certain conditions. They must be of Senegalese nationality and aged 18 to 35 at most, on December 31, 2025.
In terms of qualifications, applicants at preschool and elementary levels must have a baccalaureate or a professional education diploma. Those who wish to teach at the middle and secondary levels must hold a license or an equivalent professional education diploma. In addition, candidates must be ready to be affected throughout the national territory.
Constitution of the file
To build up their files, candidates must bring together a series of essential documents. They must first write a written request addressed to the Minister of National Education. This request must be accompanied by a legalized copy of the required academic diploma as well as a legalized copy of the professional diploma or, if necessary, an admission order.
Applicants with professional experience in the field of education must provide an exercise certificate signed by the Academy Inspector (AI) or the Inspectorate of Education and Training (IEF).
A medical certificate of aptitude for teaching, issued by a doctor working in a public health structure, is also required to ensure that the applicant is able to exercise the function.
Finally, a legalized copy of the national identity card, a copy of the nationality certificate and a certificate of good life and customs. These documents make it possible to verify the identity, nationality and integrity of the candidate.
Applications must be submitted online, between January 23 and February 1, 2025
