The Volkswagen Tiguan was crowned “Car of the Year 2025” during an evening held this Thursday evening in Casablanca. Organized by the Association of Motor Vehicle Importers in Morocco (AIVAM), this ceremony marked the culmination of several months of rigorous evaluation.
For this sixth edition of the Car of the Year (COTY) 2025 competition, the Volkswagen Tiguan was able to stand out against strong competition. Among the seven finalists competing were the BYD Seal U, Cupra Leon, Dacia Jogger, Peugeot 3008, Renault Kardian and Skoda Kodiaq. These models were carefully selected from 30 vehicles initially selected.
A jury of experts for a careful choice
The deliberations took place on January 9 and 10, bringing together a jury composed of 14 journalists and renowned automotive experts, under the presidency of Hatim Bouazer (Leguideauto.ma). Among them, we found Moulay Ahmed Belghiti (Les Écos), Nabil Sbai Tanji (I want to buy a car!), Jalil Bennani (Driverslife.ma), Essam Chraibi (wandaloo.com), David Jeremie (Challenge-Tomobile 360), Mourad Khezzari (Gentlemen Driver), Jérémy Moretti (UTAC Expert), Khadija Dinia (Myluxurylife.ma), Hatim Kaghat (Automotive expert), Mohamed Akisra (Drive In), Haytam Boussaid (Le Matin), Leila Benjelloun (Golf du Maroc) and Mehdi Laaboudi (Maxmag.ma).

After in-depth dynamic tests, the Volkswagen Tiguan won over the jury thanks to its remarkable performance, its renewed design and its driving comfort. This emblematic SUV of the German brand stood out for its cutting-edge technological equipment, its optimized safety and its energy efficiency.
