A weather bomb is approaching the French coast. There storm Éowyn should mainly affect the northwest of the country from this Friday, January 24, 2025 with gusts of more than 100 km/h expected.
The heart of this depression expected to hit the UK with gusts expected up to 200 km/h at wide of Ireland.
Gusts of 75 km/h on the coast
If Gironde should be relatively spared, Météo France still announces strong winds in the department, starting this Friday.
The strongest gusts are expected on the coast, with peaks of 50 or even 60 km/h between the Pointe du Médoc and the Arcachon basin from Friday.
-They will intensify slightly on Saturday morning and even more on Sunday evening, with 70 to 75 km/h expected.
Mild temperatures
Inland, the winds will be less violent with peaks expected at 45 km/h in Bordeaux, for example, this Saturday morning and Sunday evening.
In terms of temperatures, the weekend will be within seasonal norms : between 10 and 15 degrees at the best of the day.
