The municipal council of Saint-Jean-de-Sauves and Frontenay-sur-Dive met on Wednesday January 22, 2025 at the town hall of Saint-Jean-de-Sauves. Elected officials unanimously voted for financial aid of €1,000 for the inhabitants of Mayotte who were victims of Cyclone Chido on December 14, 2024.
Finances. The mayor, Christian Moreau, presented the 2024 administrative account, “validated by Laurent Rohard, advisor to local decision-makers in Loudun” in view of the meetings to prepare the 2025 budget. In operation, the account shows a cumulative surplus of just over €1.8 million. “Expenses have been controlled and we have made savings in energy consumption – gas and electricity – thanks to the renovation work undertaken at the school and the gymnasium. » Investments, on the other hand, have a deficit in expenditure of €380,000, “but the amount is much lower than that of 2023”.
Christian Moreau announced the three major projects planned for 2025, presented during the wishes and which will be put to the budget vote: burying the networks, construction of eight housing units and rehabilitation of the building on Place Marcel-Chauvineau, on the basis of a subsidy from the Wasteland.
