Humor with Chloé Oliveres in Figeac
Comedian Chloé Oliveres presents her show “When I grow up I will be Patrick Swayze” on Friday January 24 at 8:30 p.m. at L'Astrolabe in Figeac.
Torn between Patrick Swayze and Agnes VardaChloé Oliveres tells us the story of a woman today, born in the 80s, raised by a feminist mother and fed up with romantic comedies. Like Annie Ernaux who would have eaten Florence Foresti, the comedian plays her big disappointments and her small victories, with a lot of self-deprecation, a sense of tragedy, a few characters, and a lot of lascivious dancing. Not quite liberated, she questions our relationship to love and admits her unfortunate tendency to prefer fiction to reality. An infinitely funny and sincere one-on-one.
Prices: from 5.5 to 13 euros. From 12 years old. Online ticketing on the website www.astrolabe-grand-figeac.fr/
Jazz concert in Vayrac
The Flash Pig jazz band is in concert on Saturday January 25 at 8:30 p.m. at the L'Uxello cinema in Vayrac.
After “Le plus longue possible” published in 2022, which earned them a “Coup de coeur” from the Académie Charles Cros but also the title of “Group of the year” according to the editorial staff of Jazz News and Jazz Magazine, the Flash Pig musicians have chosen as the common thread of their new record, a story of love and imagination: “In the Mood for Love”, director Wong Kar Wai’s masterpiece.
This new project, burning and mastered, the fifth in fifteen years of existence of the quartet, allows us to appreciate musicians who have reached maturity together, capable like few others of expressing complex and nuanced emotions with a jazz idiom. The dialogue with cinema opens up delightful possibilities for our imagination, which take this precious group forward even further for French and European jazz.

-Circassian conference in Saint-Céré
“Le solo” is a circus conference presented on Friday, January 24 at 8:30 p.m. at the Théâtre de l'Usine in Saint-Céré.
Perched in the air, Lucie Yerlès performs aerial figures and choreographies. The artist questions the circus experience by deciphering what is happening in our brain when we are confronted with a high-flying spectacle. Prefrontal cortex, amygdala, hippocampus, thalamus… then seem to take shape on stage under his words and movements, as the artist's breathing transforms ours. A dizzying and dizzying collective experience, energetic and brilliant, which lifts a veil over the magic of the live performance, without ever dissipating it.
From 8 years old, duration 1 hour. Prices: from 8 to 16 euros. Website: https://theatredelusine-saintcere.com/
Rap evening at the Docks of Cahors
A rap evening is organized at the Docks de Cahors on Saturday January 25 at 9 p.m. With on stage, three artists and groups.
It has been almost two decades since Furax Barbarrossa sublimes the art of rhyme and performance. Beyond an inexhaustible energy and an almost bestial presence on stage, Furax is a voice, a charisma, a presence. It is also, and above all, writing without filters, precise and colorful. Impressively skilled, Furax is one of the finest technicians in France.
Paddle is a committed rapper and lover of the letter, he is a hard worker who has already released 8 solo projects. He travels through French-speaking countries and has performed hundreds of concerts; his audience remembers him for his strong and poetic lyrics, his raspy voice and his incisive flow.
Writing so as not to die is the credo of San-Nomhe who writes songs as if he were writing the chapters of his future autobiography. A rap like Renaud or Thiéfaine would do if they were 20 years old today.
Prices: from 5 to 17 euros. Such. 05 65 24 13 60. Website: https://lesdocks-cahors.fr/
