During the greetings ceremony on January 10, 2025, the projects for this new year were presented, in Pont-Saint-Martin (-Atlantique), south of . Their aim is to develop public equipment and services, but also soft mobility in the municipality of 7200 habitants.

As part of the residential course, two operations will start on rue de Nantes to bring out of the ground 32 accommodations promoting access to property for young households with modest incomes. There young workers residence is expected to open its doors in early 2026.

On the mobility side, two intra-town routes will be finalized. The greenway between the towns of Pont Saint-Martin and Sorinières is under study.

For families and associations

The construction site of childhood center will begin at the end of the year after the deconstruction of the Children's House.

“With a capacity of 350 children during extracurricular time, this 4 million euro equipment of high environmental quality will make it possible to decompartmentalize services for families, but also to accommodate associations,” indicates Yannick Fétiveauthe mayor.

Another equipment for sports and leisure purposes, a pump trackwill be opened this summer near Moreau Meadows. This circuit dedicated to scooters, BMX and rollerblades will be fitted out with a new playground.

After the issuance of national identity cards and passports in 2024, the postal agency will take up residence in the heart of City Hall from July 1, 2025.

“The objective is to improve the quality of this public service by doubling the time it is open to the public,” underlines the councilor.

PLU and environment

The PLU will be finalized in February 2025 for approval in September 2025 with a reduction in urban sprawl: 600 more housing units by 2035 with a forecast consumption of 14 ha of natural, agricultural and forestry areas (ENAF), including 3 ha for 150 housing units in the Plessis sector and 11 ha for economic development in Viais. 50 ha had been used over the last ten years.

Plantations of bocage hedges are scheduled for the end of January at Pas Garreau. The reconquest of the old wine-growing fabric on the Heuderies plateau is envisaged.

The City is waiting for the green light to start construction of the gendarmerie in Viais.
