here is a new Alzheimer’s helping city in Lot-et-Garonne

It is an agreement which records everything that the City of Marmande does for Alzheimer's patients and their caregivers. And who commits the association France Alzheimer and the town hall of Marmande to continue all their efforts to welcome, support and accompany families affected by Alzheimer's disease and related ones, and there are very many of them.

Thus, since the end of 2024, Marmande has been recognized as an “Alzheimer’s Helping City”, a partnership which aims “to promote the inclusion and autonomy of people suffering from Alzheimer’s disease or a related disease in public space.

And already, Marmande, notably with the precious volunteers of France Alzheimer of Lot-et-Garonne, works in favor of these patients: discussion groups are organized at the Glycines, where also take place workshops music therapy and art therapy, formations caregivers take place occasionally at the CCAS, the municipal archives also work with sick people… “We have lots of ideas for lots of workshops if we have the public” promise these big-hearted volunteers, who also hope, through this convention, be able to recruit volunteers more easily.

And in particular here, in Marmande, which is now one of ten Alzheimer’s Helping Cities in Lot-et-Garonne.

Reception centers are held in Marmande and Tonneins, by appointment only at 06.74.04.70.04 (Josiane Noyé) or 06.06.42.98.81 (Marie-Françoise Rigo).
