In Lozère, this agricultural union attacks… the chamber of agriculture

If the big wave of demonstrations dates back to about a year ago now, the anger of the farmers did not fall. And regularly, unions target state symbols. This was particularly the case in recent months with covered radars or moved panels.

In Lozerethe FDSEA and the JA, the two dominant twin unions classified on the right, recently attacked the French Biodiversity Office, from which they wish to remove certain powers. In particular the right to carry a weapon.

The hegemony of two unions denounced

The environmental police, on the contrary, received the support of the Confédération paysanne, classified on the left. And this union has once again distinguished itself in its difference by attacking another symbol, but not of the State.

On Wednesday January 22, farmers visited… the chamber of agriculture, in Mende. Which they have blocked the entrance with a wall of beehives (Muriel Pascal, long-time head of the union in Lozère and candidate in the last European elections, is a beekeeper).

A “closed” room

“Conf'48 and its supporters are mobilized to denounce a closed chamber and a locked voting method! », declares the union.

At the moment, farmers are called to vote for their representatives in the chambers of agriculture. In Occitania, the FDSEA and the JA are at the head of all the authorities. During the last election, in 2019, they obtained 52.28% of the votes in the first collegethe most important (that of “farm managers and similar”). The Rural Coordination, classified on the far right, had gathered 27.06% of voters, while the Confédération paysanne only motivated 15.46% (and Modef 5.20%).
