The year 2025 is starting off rather well for the Sorgues in terms of care with theopening of the fourth departmental health center in Vaucluse. An implementation to respond to the medical desert identified by the ARS in the different municipalities of Vaucluse.
This fourth Vaucluse departmental health center is part of the Health plan, initiated in 2022 by the president of Vaucluse Dominique Santoni.
After the inaugurations of the Place de l'Horloge in Avignon (February 2023), Cadenet (May 2023) and Apt (December 2023), it is in Sorgues that the Department is installing its new salaried general practitioner in premises of 130 m², rehabilitated for an amount of 112 000 €, open on 15 January 2025.

Since their opening, 25 000 consultations were carried out in the first three centers and 3 000 Vauclusians benefit from a treating doctor.
-Thus, Doctor Philippe Narcante, retired general practitioner, currently consults on Monday afternoons, Tuesdays and Wednesdays all day in the medical establishment of 30 B cours de La République in Sorgues, at the corner of avenue du 8-Mai-1945 and avenue du 11-Novembre.
Located in the heart of the city with free parking and located on the ground floor, the departmental health center will ultimately accommodate three general practitioners, a medical secretary and a medical assistant.
