According to data provided by Île-de- Mobilités (IDFM), the transport organizing authority, ridership on the line has fallen by more than 80%. In September 2024, only 92,500 people boarded the OrlyBus, compared to 314,000 a year earlier! Consequence: “In order to avoid running empty buses, Île-de-France Mobilités has decided, in conjunction with RATP, operator of the line, and Aéroports, to declare the end of Orlybus service after the winter holidays, i.e. March 3, 2025, confirmed IDFM this Tuesday. Running empty buses results in a loss of public money, a waste of resources for the operator and unnecessary air pollution. »
