Grenoble metropolis. A pedestrian mowed down on the A480

A terrible accident occurred this Monday at the very beginning of the afternoon in Échirolles. In circumstances that are still undetermined, a car hit a pedestrian who was on the emergency lane (BAU) of the A480 motorway in the Lyon-Grenoble direction near the Espace Comboire interchange. It appears the victim, aged 40, was a motorist who got out of his vehicle for an unknown reason.

The pedestrian is seriously injured

Taken care of by firefighters and a team from Smur, the pedestrian, seriously injured, was transported in absolute emergency to the unshock department of Grenoble Alpes University Hospital.

As for the driver of the car that hit the victim, he was examined by emergency services, but was not transported.
