The 42-year-old man involved in the armed attack that occurred overnight from Friday to Saturday, where he and another individual were injured, was finally arrested by the authorities.

“He was met by investigators on Sunday. He was arrested for armed assault and serious assault,” indicates Pierre-Olivier Lévesque, spokesperson for the Quebec Police Service (SPVQ).

The 42-year-old suspect was later released on a promise to appear in court at a later date.

Remember that this nebulous affair occurred on avenue De La Ronde, in Limoilou, around 1 a.m. Saturday morning.

A first 33-year-old suspect was found at the scene in critical condition, suffering from serious injuries caused by a blunt object.

Monday morning, there was still fear for his life at the hospital.

The 42-year-old man was found a short time later while trying to receive treatment for stab wounds.

According to the SPVQ, the two men knew each other. It is therefore not a random act.
