Extraordinary footbridges will enhance the industrial landscape of this small town in Haut-Jura

Quai Jobez, the general masonry and civil engineering company Vetter (25), was already work last week for the construction of concrete baseswhich will accommodate these footbridges, works of art which should quickly transform into real works of art.

The gateway that will take place in front of the Tourist Officecorresponds in fact to the “Orbitale Promenade” project that the architects having responded to the call for projects of the commune, described with much poetry in these words:

“A dynamic efflorescence like the call of the river overflowing its bed to invite the walker who seems immersed in an inspiring wave, forming a highly organic cellular pattern this sculpture triggers a unique relationship where nature, science, architecture” .

The ballet of the cranes and construction machinery should therefore gradually give way to works equally intriguing than poetic.

The bridge project that will take place facing the new parkin Haut-Morez, was thus baptized “Eauricule” and its structure invites you to listen to see betterto activate the senses, hearing, in a soundscape. The one in front of the high school “C=2πr=πø”, a work with a strong kinetic dimension, will invite you to “move, to explore its surface, to play with time with your gaze on multiple levels. At the same time observatory et crossing objectits circular shape evokes a plot and enters into formal resonance with glasses and spectacle lensesan industry strongly anchored in the identity of the City.”

Finally in front of the senior residence, on the small quay, the footbridge will meet the project “Dreamlike Look” offering a look at Biel to appreciate its fauna, flora, sound of its runoff, the color of its waterson urban landscapein surrounding nature and for invite you to dream. “A space for sociability, a gateway that is both sober and timeless, attractive and surprising with its atypical geometry,” promise the architects.

Two other footbridges are planned, and should be located under the customs bridge and rue des Forges. The old city center footbridges removed during the launch of the softway works are stored on the Morez Dessus. If technically possible, they will be reused in these two areas of the course.
