The Macronist candidate Camille Galliard-Minier claimed, on Sunday January 19, victory in the second round of the partial legislative election in Isère, against her rival La insoumise (LFI) Lyes Louffok, who admitted his defeat.

The candidate mentioned a “very nice evening” et “a result which shows a large victory”, according to a video broadcast by The Dauphiné liberated. “What won this evening is the path of dialogue, it is the path of compromise, of national unity,” she added, saying she wanted to participate in the parliamentary debate for the development of a 2025 budget responding to the ” EMERGENCIES “ of the French.

“The ballot boxes have delivered their verdict, but they in no way mark the end of my fight. This result does not extinguish my determination or my convictions,” commented Mr. Louffok on X.

“New Popular Front candidate Lyes Louffok was unable to be elected deputy. The cause of childhood will not have, in the National Assembly, this effective and tenacious spokesperson (…). In a context of strong abstention, a constituency wrested from the right in 2024 by popular mobilization has therefore returned to its traditional representation”reacted LFI in a press release.
