This trail, whose tracks plunge runners into the Salamandre cave, in Méjannes-le-Clap, takes place for its next edition from May 9 to 11, 2025.
This is certainly one of the most beautiful events for nature running enthusiasts. Scheduled for May 9 to 11 from the Méjannes-le-Clap departmental sports center, the Avens trail has already opened its online registrations for interested runners.
Choice of races
Several trails, ranging from 16 to 31 km per day for adults, are offered, and can even be combined over two days for the more experienced. Most of the routes, including that of the longest trail, 31.4 km for 1,200 meters of altitude difference, will cross prestigious sites in this corner of the Gard, including the Salamandre cave, the Cèze gorges and the rock de l'Aigle and the dolmen of Baume des Fades.
1 and 3 km courses for children aged 10 to 15 are also offered, as is a 16 km hiking trail.
