It's not the most well-known metro station, nor the busiest, but it's still worth the detour near , just like that, for no specific reason, just to take a little trip back 40 years in a completely vintage atmosphere. This is the promise fulfilled on the RATP network by the Boulogne – Pont de Saint-Cloud station (Hauts-de-Seine).

A station opened a few months after the election of François Mitterrand

The station was opened on October 2, 1981 with the commissioning of the last extension of line 10, of which it has since constituted the western terminus. Service to the station is initially only provided by every other train until 6:40 p.m.

If today, train traffic has evolved, the decor has remained the same, typical of the time.

On the central platform, framed by the two metro tracks, the vertical walls are painted in a gradient of colors ranging from off-white on the east side to burgundy on the west side, including yellow, orange and red.

The advertising frames are metal and the name of the station is written in Parisine font on enameled plaques. As for the “Motte” style seats, they are orange in color and arranged on circular benches treated with flat white tiles, which are topped with orange posts each comprising three lighting globes. More vintage you die…

In the ticket distribution room there is also a period ceramic fresco geographically representing the period of reconquest from 1943 to 1945 during the Second World War.

An atmosphere like no other on the RATP network…
