After the Departmental Cross Country Championships during the week, it was the hall that was in the spotlight this weekend. Among these indoor competitions, the Star Perche de Bordeaux opened the ball on Friday evening. But it was Saturday that the best of the show was expected. And the show, Marie-Julie Bonnin (Stade Bordelais) offered us some by attempting the absolute French record (indoor and outdoor combined) with a bar at 4m76 (IA) which would have dethroned Ninon Chapelle's 4m75.
Before that, the Bordelaise had still pushed her personal indoor best to 4m66, synonymous with the minimum for the indoor worlds, but her obsession remained fixed on the national record: “ This only bodes well. This French record, I'll see you in a few weeks I hope ! “she declared at Stadion. Appointment made!
This competition was also an opportunity to see Albane Doordain (Stade Bordelais) and Lalie Coiquand (US Talence) both pass 4m16 (N2). Amélie Labouze (Stade Bordelais) did not exceed 4 meters, but consoled himself with a good 3m91, one centimeter from his personal best. Among the men, the best pole vaulter in the region is called Luc Brewin (US Talence) thanks to his 5m18 (N3) achieved on Friday, while Valentin Potter (Stade Niortais) will pass 5m03 (N3) the next day.

Other Neo-Aquitaine residents were invited to the “Loire et Volcans” championships on Saturday, on the fast Aubière track. A profitable choice for our athletes since they have achieved no less than 10 N1 performances! But most were by athletes who achieved this feat in series, but also in the final. Like on 60m hurdles where Celia Chauusseray (UA Gujan-Mestras) won in 8.26 (N1) during final 1. A final 1 100% composed of athletes from the region where Mathlide Guillaume (US Talence) achieved 8.33 (N1) in the wake of Gujanaise. A few tenths behind them, the young Exelle Estevez (US Talence) achieves a good 8.72 (N2) and thus takes 3rd place in this race, ahead of Maëlle Quintin (Limoges Athle) in 8.81 (N3), Maëlle Thomas (Limoges Athlé) in 8.85 (N3) and Luna Fiedler (US Talence) in 8.89 (N3).
Returning from Texas where he trained with Mickaël Hannany, Ryan Zézé (Stade Bordelais) made his comeback over 200m with a time of 20.70 (N1), thus taking the lead in the national results with more than 3 tenths in advance. Alix Lascaux (US Talence) won the next series in 21.23 (N2). Note that the youngest of the Zézé brothers had chosen to withdraw from the 60m final to concentrate on the 200m, even though he had achieved the best time in the series in 6.73 (N3).
Pablo Faye (Limoges Athlé) had no competition at his level for the challenger over hurdles. Limougeaud easily won in 7.88 (N1) in the final of the men's 60m hurdles, several lengths ahead of Jean-Alexandre Anacelet (US Talence) and its 8.17 (N3). Victory for the region also in the women's 60m flat, thanks to the elusive Noami Riskwait (US Talence) which was flashed in 7.36 (N1) on the central straight. Agathe Capon (Aunis La Rochelle) and Celia Barle (US Talence) took 6th and 8th places in this race in 7.69 (N3) and 7.83 (N3).
-Clemence Rougier (Limoges Athlé) closes this N1 performance waltz by falling to 13m26 on the 5th attempt of the triple jump competition, as a start to the winter season. With two less leaps, Mathis Vaitulunkina (US Talence) achieved an excellent 7m70 (N2) on his first attempt. Maxime Lapeyrie (Stade Bordelais) and Bastien Cadeot (US Talence) achieve respectively 7m55 (N2) and 7m48 (N2) in the other length competition.
Finally, the men's 400m was only run between Limougeauds during its final 1. This fratricidal fight saw Alexis Lavaud win in 48.57 (N3) in front Martin Liaud in 48.87 (N4) and Perceval Plet in 49.08 (N4). The junior world champion in the 400m hurdles, Meta Tumba (Grand Angoulême Athlé), took advantage of this program to make her comeback over 400m with a time of 55.22 (N3) which allowed her to beat her training partner, Noam Tanon (Grand Angoulême Athlé), and its 55.81 (N3). The following series was run in 55.82 (N3) and was won by another Angoumoisine, namely Lisa Blanc.

Paradoxically, the Neo-Aquitaines were not more numerous in Poitiers where the indoor Pre-Regionals of the northern zone were held at the same time. The best performance in this competition is to be credited to Yoan Marthiens (Cognac AC) who swallowed his 60m in 7.09 (N4).
