This is a draw eagerly awaited by players. For their fourth raffle, the merchants of Saint-Geneys-près-Saint-Paulien have set the bar very high, by putting a new Suzuki Swift hybrid, worth 18,990 euros, and its registration card into play.
Launched last October, the raffle is coming to an end. The big winner of the vehicle will be known on Friday January 31. The draw will take place at 7:30 p.m., in the presence of a bailiff, in the premises of Ma belle campagne, one of the town's businesses, and will be broadcast live on the Facebook and Instagram networks.
Latecomers rest assured, there are still a few days left to try your luck: the registration deadline is January 30 at 11:59 p.m.
Participation in the raffle is already expected to be significant. And for good reason, the jackpot is a dream. “Today, few people can afford to buy a car at this price, so if it can make a family happy, that would be perfect,” comments Ludovic Bertrand, president of the village merchants’ association. which also wishes, through this operation, to put the spotlight on Saint-Geneys-près-Saint-Paulien. “This allows us to make the village a little more known, but also its traders,” he reports.
A new edition already planned
This operation would not have been possible without the hundred or so partners of the event. With a prize worth around €20,000, the sale of tickets would not have allowed the association to cover its costs, between the purchase of the car and its registration document.
Still, the operation is already a success and will be repeated next year. The prize is also already known, since it will be a trip to Lapland, the country of Santa Claus.
