A new collective has just been created, the Sud Aveyron Express. Citizens and elected officials gathered around a single desire: that of a railway line that comes back to life.
While the future of the Millau – Rodez line is once again threatened, these diehards are mobilizing and proposing an innovative solution.
“We wrote to the Region, to elected officials and to the SNCF proposing the idea of making the territory a test zone for the Draisy prototype between Sévérac and Tournemire”reveals Olivier Julien, mayor of Comprégnac. It was also during the Mayors’ Show that he discovered the prototype. A vehicle designed for low-volume lines, combining numerous advantages.
“We hope to have answers, we are convinced that there is a demand, and this would be an opportunity to reintroduce judgments in municipalities like Comprégnac”continues the elected official.
-In the coming months, the young collective should offer several meetings to raise awareness of this project as many people as possible.
